Mizusashi

A mizusashi (水指) is a vessel, often ceramic, used to hold clean cold water during the tea ceremony. The mizusashi is opened during the ceremony and the water can be used to cool the water in the kama, to refill the water in the kama when more water is needed, and to clean the chawan.
